Cambridge Judge Business School welcomed a class of Year 11 school pupils from Thurston Community College, Suffolk, on 16 May 2013, as part of an outreach visit organised by the Keystone Development Trust and members of the School.
The pupils, who come from ‘non-traditional’ backgrounds, presented the results of the ‘Social Action Project’ they’ve undertaken as part of their studies and a team of volunteers from the School assisted in the judging process.
Paul Tracey, Reader in Human Resources & Organisations at Cambridge Judge Business School, gave the students an introduction to the School, its history and the courses it offers, as well as a tour of the iconic building.
He commented:
It’s great that social enterprise is such a significant part of what we do at Cambridge Judge Business School. Keystone Development Trust is doing very important work and I’m delighted that we were able to support its efforts to raise the aspirations of young people from many different backgrounds.”
Keystone Development Trust is the biggest development trust in the Eastern Region and delivers a diverse range of projects and services responsive to the needs of the local community. Chief Executive Neil Stott is an alumnus of Cambridge Judge Business School, where he studied for a Masters in Community Enterprise.
