Giftgaming, an Accelerate Cambridge startup, is one of 14 finalists this week in Startup Battlefield, a showcase for tech start-ups in Europe taking place in London for the first time.
giftgaming was born at Cambridge Judge Business School in the startup weekend organised in May 2014 by Accelerate Cambridge and has been incubated and accelerated since by Accelerate Cambridge.
giftgaming allows brands and other advertisers to give gamers virtual gifts involving discount coupons and powerups, but without interfering with gameplay itself.
Startup Battlefield is part of Disrupt Europe 2014, sponsored by Tech Crunch magazine, which is being held at Old Billingsgate Market along the Thames River in London.
Hanadi Jabado, director of Accelerate Cambridge, said: “Nick Hatter, CEO of giftgaming, gives resilience a new meaning. He is focused, hard working and does not take no for an answer.”
