First fellows named at Centre for Social Innovation

Cambridge Judge Business SchoolFellows of Social Innovation are practitioners

The new Centre for Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge Business School has named its first 10 Fellows, a group that will form an advisory board and work with faculty on practitioner-focused research.

The Fellows of Social Innovation, who come from a UK and international background and from a variety of sectors, will also deliver guest lectures and help mentor social innovators. The new Fellows, who are practitioner fellows, are distinct from Research Fellows at the Centre for Social Innovation who will be named at a later date.

The new Fellows are:

  • Noa Gafni, co-Managing Director of Global Tolerance, a leading international communications agency for social change.
  • Dr Freda Owusu, co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of ihealth, which supports the public health sector.
  • Dr Martin Clark, deputy CEO of Allia / Future Business and lead partner of Social Incubator East in Cambridge.
  • Jennifer Morgan, co-founder of the Finance Innovation Lab at the World Wide Fund for Nature.
  • Beverly Hurley CBE, Group Chief Executive of the YTKO Group based in Cambridge, has served on numerous governmental groups promoting entrepreneurship and women in business.
  • Jimmy Childre, CEO of Washington County Regional Medical Center, a not-for-profit hospital in Georgia, has extensive networks in the not-for- profit and educational sectors in the USA.
  • Colonel Bill DeMarco, Vice Commander, Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, Alabama, has extensive experience of intraprenurship and innovation with public services. He is lectures and teaches extensively on leadership.
  • Jody Day, a social entrepreneur and Founder of Gateway Women, the first global friendship and support network for childless-by-circumstance women.
  • Craig Dearden-Philips MBE, CEO of Stepping Out, a consultancy providing support to the public sector in spinning out enterprises or mutuals.
  • Belinda Bell, Programme Director of Social Incubator East and a leading practitioner in social finance.
