Supaat is head of global foreign-exchange research at the Global Markets unit of Maybank Group in Singapore, and previously worked for 11 years at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, dealing with foreign exchange, economic modelling and other financial areas.

While new to Parliament, he served previously as vice chairman of the Toa Payoh East Citizens’ Consultative Committee and as a Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Councillor.

Supaat says his Cambridge MBA “has helped me in many different ways” including the benefits of the global network he developed during his time in Cambridge.

“The friendships made during the programme has endured the test of time and has allowed me to meet up with new people online and during my career,” he says, adding that his work has benefitted from “the collaborative ethos and content” of his Cambridge MBA studies.
