Entrepreneurship education in China
Cambridge Judge Business School’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) has agreed a two-year partnership with the Shanghai Art & Design Academy (SADA) to design and deliver customised entrepreneurship programmes for educators and students.

The partnership will help support the development and growth of the SADA Entrepreneurship Centre at SADA, with the first programme starting on 26 January at Cambridge Judge Business School. SADA was founded in 1960 and is one of the most influential and best-known colleges of art and design in China.

Zhang Tianqi, Vice-President of SADA, said,

We are keen to collaborate with Cambridge’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning to build the skills of mentors and educators who facilitate students with entrepreneurial ambitions. In addition, our students will benefit from specialised learning in commercial thinking, business creation and growth – which can be applied to art and design projects and ventures. This in turn has the potential to have a positive impact on the local economy.

Yupar Myint, Director of Director of International Business Development at CfEL, said:

We are delighted to be working with the Shanghai Art & Design Academy to enable them to strengthen their entrepreneurship offering and inspire their students to transform ideas and realise entrepreneurial dreams. There is a huge opportunity for entrepreneurship in China and tremendous demand for entrepreneurship education among the younger generation. Given our track record, CfEL is well placed to support organisations with their entrepreneurship education goals.

In addition to the custom programme, selected students will be invited to attend CfEL’s Ignite programme which takes place from 5 to 10 July 2015 at Cambridge Judge Business School. They will join an international cohort of aspiring entrepreneurs looking to fast-track technology innovations to commercial reality.
