The contract started in September 2015 and will run for 23 months.

A new social enterprise, Form the Future was founded by Anne Bailey and Michaela Eschbach and is supported by Cambridge Social Ventures, a collaboration between the Centre for Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge Business School and the charity Allia. Their mission is to help every student achieve their potential while also addressing the skills shortages affecting companies in our region.

The work of Form the Future involves running careers events at schools, encouraging active involvement from local businesses, work experience programmes, mentoring and supporting partnerships between schools and businesses. In the 2014-15 academic year they facilitated 10,000 student to business interactions.

“Form the Future, which was previously operating as part of the network of Cambridge schools has an excellent track record and extensive contacts within schools and the local business community already. With this new funding we can expand on the work we’ve started as well as expand into new areas like primary schools,” said Anne Bailey, Co-founder and Director of Form the Future.
