In June 2017 the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies will bring together leaders and decision makers from businesses, governments, academia and NGOs to explore salient topics in risk management. The summit will be held at Cambridge Judge Business School and a conference dinner following at Clare College, Cambridge. This year’s summit theme is ‘Managing Risk in a Smarter World’, and will explore the overall risks and opportunities for risk managers in today’s evolving technological landscape. The greater adoption of automation by the finance and insurance sectors, alongside other industries, will also have significant impact on public policy, the labour market and privacy and personal data. These topics alongside artificial intelligence, fintech, insurtech, virtual currencies and disintermediation platforms will be discussed at the Summit within the context of managing risks.
