Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed its second cohort of the Senior Leadership Development Programme with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which took place in New York from 17 to 21 September 2012.

The two-year programme commenced in June 2011 and was designed for UNICEF’s senior leaders to be delivered globally at locations, including Cambridge Judge Business School in the UK and UNICEF’s headquarters in New York. The duration of each group is seven months and the content is split into three study blocks covering key leadership areas, by utilising a blended learning approach of plenary faculty-led discussions, group coaching, individual mentoring, project work and online interaction and learning through a Virtual Learning Environment.

The UNICEF Senior Leadership Development Programme is directed by Professor Dame Sandra Dawson, a recognised authority on leadership theory and practice. The theme of the second cohort was ‘Making a Difference’ and speakers throughout the week included two key faculty members from Cambridge Judge Business School – Dr Mark de Rond, Reader in Strategy & Organisation, and Keith Goodall, Fellow in Management Studies, as well as a talk from social development entrepreneur, Teddy Ruge.

Richard Hill, Business Development Director at Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education, commented:

The cornerstone of the week has been participants delivering the action learning projects that they have been working on for the last six months – each project tackles a real and critical issue that UNICEF faces globally.”
