Brendon Joe, Andre Goepfert, David Clark and Arshiq MuhseenFour MBA students at Cambridge Judge Business School were congratulated by the hosts of the Global Investment Banking Valuation competition at the awards ceremony held in London on Friday 23 November, for winning the competition.

Brendon Joe, Andre Goepfert, David Clark and Arshiq Muhseen competed against over 250 teams in the first round of the competition to make it through to the final round where the top teams competed in a real, live M&A deal on 12 November. The focus of the competition was on researching companies and industry sectors, analysing real company financial statements, applying various valuation techniques and finally pitching their presentation to the panel.

When asked on his thoughts for future learning Brendon Joe commented:

The competition was a rigorous test of skills in financial analysis and company valuation and it allowed us to test ourselves against other top business schools around the world. In addition to that, it was a great exercise in time management and managing expectations within the group, as each team member had many other commitments leading up to the finals – it’s been such a hectic term!”
