Vox: Fossil fuel companies impose more in climate costs than they make in profits

Coverage of a report co-authored by Dr Chris Hope, Reader in Policy Modelling at Cambridge Judge Business School, that quantifies hidden subsidies to fossil fuel companies. The report calculated the price of carbon emissions facing the world’s top fossil fuel companies and found that “the economic cost to society of their CO2 emissions was greater than their after‐tax profit.”
