BBC Vietnam: A different approach to life in India

Frugal principles, embedded in people’s everyday life in India, could be beneficial to Western companies as well, says Jaideep Prabhu, Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise at Cambridge Judge. “You’ve now got frugal startups doing things faster and cheaper than large companies. Just look at Raspberry Pi which was developed at the University of Cambridge. Technology has enabled small groups of teams in universities to do things only large companies or governments could ten to 20 years ago.”
