Fenni Kang nominated for TechWomen 100 Award

Congratulations to 2018 Executive MBA participant, Fenni Kang, who has been short-listed for the TechWomen100 award, which showcases emerging female tech talent and aims to create role models for the future.

Fenni holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and is currently working at Barclays Investment Bank as a Quantitative Analyst, where her role entails developing pricing models, quantitative strategies, quantitative analysis and analytic tools to help market-making, risk management, and revenue generation.

Outside of work Fenni takes place in charity events; she and her team won first place in the Micro-Tyco Challenge 2017 to raise funds for WildHearts, a charity that helps entrepreneurs in impoverished countries develop their businesses. She also volunteers her time to teach school students the mathematics used by banks as part of the Barclays Financial Mathematics Club, and teaches them programming as part of the Coding Club.

Fenni’s ambition is to use advanced technology to make a positive impact on society and she is passionate about discussing technology-oriented business ideas with peers from around the world.

Why Cambridge?

Fenni explains why she chose to do an EMBA at Cambridge: “I am passionate about being an entrepreneur and to make an impact on society with technologies. My long-term objective is to create a technology-oriented business that succeeds in changing people’s lives and my ambition is to become a technology-entrepreneur female-role model”.
